In 2005, North Primary in Southall, west London, achieved Key Stage 2 SAT results that placed the school in the top ten of the national value added tables.
Ninety-eight per cent of the children at North Primary speak English as an additional language and their headteacher Jasmindha Grewal has developed a determined approach to maintain and raise their standards.
In this programme we see the school using pre-school booster classes, revision-focused lessons and specialised EAL provision to complement their curriculum.
