Victoria Palmer, a teacher at Bishops Castle Primary School in Shropshire, has recently taught a lesson about the human body to her class of Year 2s, older Year 1s and some Year 3s.
With the help of dancer Rachel Freeman, Victoria was able to teach the class by incorporating dance into science.
Her objectives were to introduce different body parts and encourage the children to observe what happens to their bodies both before and after exercise.
In this programme, Victoria meets up with advisor Chris Robinson, the primary science advisor for Shropshire County Council, and looks back at how the lesson went.
The pair discuss how successful the class has been, focusing on the issues of planning, team teaching, scientific enquiry, differentiation and cross curricular links.
