In this example, a Year 4 class from White Oak School in Kent work on a composition designed to reflect the emotions of WW2 evacuees.
Teacher Dianne Campbell and TA Norma Kinnison work with school music co-ordinator Gwyneth Johnson and composer Stephen Chadwick to plan a simple percussion piece.
Their composition is later developed by the class, who relate the music to a recent history lesson on the Second World War.
