Wadhurst Primary has faced the challenge of incorporating Anna, a severely visually impaired pupil, into their school. We take a look at Anna in the classroom and those that help provide support.
A day in the life of eight-year-old Anna gives us a window into her world. How does she feel about being taught alongside mainstream pupils? How successful are her teachers in adapting their classes to suit her needs? What makes her life more difficult at school and how has she found integrating with her sighted peers?
Anna's World is a personal perspective of school life but allows for an insightful look at what problems face the visually impaired at school - and what practical solutions can solve them.
