Bruce Grove Primary School shows how its "open-door" policy encourages parents to feel welcome partners in their children's education.
The north London school adopts an admissions procedure that includes personal family interviews and home visits, and a small but active parent council. Every morning there is also some activity or classes at the school for the benefit of parents.
Further initiatives include relaxed parents' evenings and informal meetings with teachers.
