Secondary Science

Description

In this programme Adrian Fenton, curriculum support manager for the Association of Science Education, has chosen three resources for secondary science.

Adrian weighs up the pros and cons of:

  • Kitchen Chemistry, a new book and CD-ROM from the Royal Society of Chemistry
  • Genes in a Bottle, a lab kit from website Bio Rad
  • Science Live, a website

Teacher Jenny Hart uses the new Kitchen Chemistry book and CD-ROM from the Royal Society of Chemistry with her Key Stage 3 class in north London. While in Bristol, teacher Justin Slowey uses the lab kit.

Back in the studio, Adrian Fenton joins presenter Hermione Cockburn to discuss the resources with the panel of Roger Frost, science curriculum adviser and writer and Adrienne Jones, freelance education consultant.
