An inspiring lesson starter aimed at getting Key Stage 2 science pupils to think about how light can be used in a theatre to create mood.
Fllmed in Watford Palace Theatre, this video brings the real world of light into the classroom and shows how light and colour can be used to create different moods on stage.
Different examples of lighting are illustrated, such as how spot lights can create shadows, and pupils are asked how they think the lighting effects are created.
This video is part of the Lesson Planning Pack - Light for KS2 science, which includes two lesson starters, one great lesson idea and a CPD discussion.
