See four examples of fun and easy-to-use primary classroom games and activities to use in lesson planning, aimed at keeping a group of mixed ability KS2 pupils on task and engaged in their learning.
At Hunslet Moor Primary in Leeds, Year 3 and 4 teacher Hannah Matthews demonstrates how she uses game strategies like 'In it to Win it' and 'Talking Partners' to enhance literacy and numeracy sessions.
She explains why other activities like 'Ping Pong' and 'Dual', lend themselves best to numeracy lessons only.
These games all develop Key Stage 2 pupils' learning while at the same time helping to build their confidence and focus.
