This programme captures the excitement and the pressure of the lead up to Christmas for two newly qualified teachers, Tara and Rosie, in their induction year. We gain insights into the typical phases and problems most new teachers encounter, highlighting areas of concern and awareness at the end of the first term.
Tara and Rosie have opted to start out at inner-city schools in London. For both, this is a major change from their previous teaching practice and brings about new challenges.
This episode maps out Tara and Rosie's progress from mid-term exhaustion through to managing off-curriculum Christmas festivities.
Tara and Rosie come from very different backgrounds and have two very different approaches to teaching but as the term ends they agree on one point: it's time for a break.
This programme explores how our teachers are settling in to their schools and if their teaching careers have got off to a good start.
