Rural Clusters

Description

A Norfolk secondary school business manager shows how he works with his school's feeder primary schools and has managed to save around £90,000 in costs, in this finance resource.

At Litcham High School, David Allen has been appointed business manager, as part of a pilot scheme run by the National College. He looks after a cluster of primary schools centred around his secondary school.

David explains how his role means that he can take charge of projects which would otherwise be left for primary headteachers to deal with. Instead, they can concentrate on their pupils and teaching.
