KS1 Science -Stopping Moving Objects

Description

Explore the forces of moving objects, using a demolition ball as an example, in this Year 1/2 science lesson idea.

Beginning with footage of a demolition ball demolishing houses, a professor discusses moving objects and how to stop them. He dodges a demolition ball as it swings from side to side. However, it transpires that it's only a 2D shape and doesn't present a real danger.

Primary science learners can learn how an object might be stopped, and why it's dangerous to stop some moving objects, in this Key Stage 1 video.
