Rebecca Wills Revisited

Description

Inspector Clare Gillies returns to assess the progress of secondary modern foreign languages (MFL) teacher Rebecca Wills, two years after their first meeting. Can Rebecca teach an outstanding lesson?

Clare first assessed Rebecca's teaching in February 2008, when Rebecca was in her second year of teaching. Clare suggested areas in which Rebecca could improve. She had communications coaching and bespoke CPD and pedagogy support in her subject area, before Clare returned to see if she could teach an outstanding lesson.

Clare's verdict at that time was that Rebecca was good, but hadn't quite reached an outstanding level of teaching. Clare now returns two years after their first meeting to see if Rebecca can teach an outstanding MFL lesson. Can she make the grade?
