Discover four different ways to extend speech and language skills in Early Years, with input from experienced practitioners.
Each observed method is presented without commentary, to allow room for analysis, and an explanation from experienced practitioners follows.
In the video is a baby room in which Every Child a Talker (ECaT) has encouraged the creation of discussion-friendly spaces. There's a dual-language ECaT session that helps children with a degree of language delay, a childminder using everyday activities to encourage new vocabulary, and a focus activity in which children work with a visiting potter.
