HLTAs - One-to-One Coaching

Description

HTLAs Judith Walker and Ashley Hunter use one-to-one coaching when working with pupils at a primary and secondary level in English and maths.

Primary HLTA Judith, attends a coaching workshop with other TAs and draws upon what she has learned to help her tackle reading with Year 1 pupils Oliver and Thomas at All Saints Infants School in Normanton.

At St Wilfrid School, Ashley coaches students a Year 7 Learning Support group, and helps focus them on literacy with some simple techniques.

Later, Ashley encourages a student who is having trouble with maths think about how it relates to his life.
