In 2002, Carlton-Bolling College in Bradford was placed in special measures. This whole-school video shows how the new headteacher turned round this failing school.
Morale among the staff and pupils was low when Her Majesty's Inspectorate criticised performance in a range of areas. But by implementing new procedures and inspiring staff and pupils with a new enthusiasm, the new headteacher improved the school's performance.
See staff giving comments regarding the difficult journey out of special measures, revealing how they worked with a series of new initiatives designed to reduce truancy and improve teaching and learning.
