Primary Geography: Festivals

Description

Here we recommend three resources for learning about festivals within primary geography.

Rachel Bowes, chair of the primary committee at the Geographical Association, recommends:

  • The Horniman Museum - an anthropological and world cultures museum
  • Festivals of the World - a series of books on festivals in different countries
  • Woodlands Junior School's website - a site featuring an online database of festivals in Britain

Rachel joins presenter Hermione Cockburn in the studio, along with panellists Keith Fox, headteacher at St John's Walworth Primary School in Southwark, and Dave Smith, ICT consultant and curriculum advisor for the Havering Inspection and Advisory Service.
