Measure of Love

Description

Measure of Love sees an English teacher struggling to do the right thing for a pupil with a crush on her. Should she take matters into her own hands, or report the situation to the union rep?

Julie Graham stars in this witty play, made from one of the winning scripts from the 2008 Staffroom Monologues competition. Introduced by competition judge and screenwriter Ashley Pharoah, the drama is followed by an interview with the writer, Jo Heathcote, an English teacher from Manchester.

Staffroom Monologues is a series of five short plays based on winning scripts from the 2008 competition run by SchoolsWorld, in association with the National Union of Teachers. Now in its second year, the series offers an alternate view of life in an educational environment, written by those who work within it.
