KS2 Group Work - Collaborative Activities

Description

Useful ideas to develop the group work skills of your class, with help from a KS2 teacher, a group work expert and educational resources from Sport Relief 08.

The SPRinG project, formed at the Institute of Education several years ago, set out to develop principles that underpin successful group work and to provide statistical evidence that regular group work can enhance achievement, motivation and learning.

In this programme, Tony Russell from SPRinG observes a KS2 class, demonstrating the benefits and problems of group work and outlining solutions for bringing group work into a PSHE/geography lesson.

Find out how the class make use a Sport Relief 08 "mystery challenge" lesson plan which not only stimulates group discussion but highlights global issues of poverty and education.
