Engaging with Parents - The Three Way Relationship

Description

Compton School in Barnet is leading the way with parental engagement and believes that involving parents can dramatically improve pupil attainment.

The school makes telephone calls home a key priority, with most teachers making several calls a night to communicate good news as readily as bad to the parents.

The school also run a Parenting Skills Support Group, with many parents speak passionately about the impact of this group on their children's achievement.

In addition, parents are granted access to the school's e-portal, enabling them to retrieve detailed information on their children's achievement and behaviour.
