Description

Most of the world's production of hand-stitched footballs comes from one town in Pakistan, and now with the introduction of fair trade the workers are reaping the benefits.

Six years ago 28-year-old entrepreneur, James Lloyd introduced the concept of fair trade to the football making industry. This small worldwide market share gives a 20 per cent premium back to the workers and has been used to improve wages, education and medical care.

This programme, which looks at the benefits of the system in action, is a great pupil resource and should be used in conjunction with:
