Looked-After Children

Description

See looked-after children (LAC) and care leavers share their experiences of life in care and school, as this whole-school video on inclusion explores ways to improve their chances of success in primary and secondary schools.

The importance of teaching a child is a key issue raised, as is the need for confidentiality, encouragement and emotional understanding.

Why LAC aren't as successful as other children in education, and exactly what it's like to be a LAC in school, are other issues addressed in this video, which links with the Every Child Matters agenda.
