The Dynamic Brain

Description

Dr Fred Dick from Birkbeck College, London, explains how different stages of development can influence the ability to learn.

Experience expectant learning is the kind of learning that a human or animal does around birth or a little afterwards, whereas experience dependent development is thought to be the most human experience, particularly at school age.

This programme looks at how it may be better to learn certain subjects at certain stages in the development of the brain, whilst also demonstrating how learning is a constant process throughout human life.
