A look at Dyscalculia, a condition which causes problems with numeracy, affects children, as well as research into how children can be supported in their numeracy learning.
Professor Brian Butterworth of the Institute of Cognitive Neuropsychology at University College London, explains Dyscalculia causes problems in understanding simple number concepts. He explains that diagnosis and recognition of the condition is similar to the situation with Dyslexia 30 years ago.
The work of Emerson House, a specialist support centre for children with literacy and numeracy problems, in supporting pupils with Dyscalculia, is also shown.
