Simrit and Victoria - Classroom Layout

Description

Sue Cowley, behaviour management expert, coaches a newly qualified teacher (NQT) in her Year 3 classroom, addressing classroom layout and differentiation, exploring what it means and how it can be applied.

Simrit Riad and Vicky Rutherford are begining their teaching careers at Oldknow Junior School in Birmingham, a large inner-city primary school with a five-form intake where most pupils are from a Pakistani or Bangladeshi background and speak EAL.

The two NQTs reflect on the journey they've been through in their first term, and there are further comments from the staff and colleagues who've supported them.

Headteacher Bhupinder Kondal gives an insight into how NQTs are supported at Oldknow and what they might expect in their first term.
